13the July, 2024 will remain evergreen in the memories of boys and girls, ladies and gentlemen as well as the old men and women of ONICHA UGBO, a serene AGRARIAN community in Aniocha North Local Government Area of Delta State, Nigeria as that day strikingly etched itself on everyone’s heart. It was a day the tranquil serene of that community was traversed by the DARK FORCES of Nigerian Politics as the GOOD PEOPLE’S mandate collectively and symbolically packed to be delivered to an unknown, quiet and very unassuming but fearless daughter of the soil was brazenly stolen and the people’s voice SUPPRESSED. It was a day the very old men and women of ONICHA UGBO who had never bothered coming out to choose who their representative would be, came out in their numbers from every household to exercise their constitutional franchise. It was a day lovers of ONICHA UGBO and DEMOCRACY came together to have “a say” on “who” and “how” they want to be represented at the Local Government Level. It was a day DAY turned to NIGHT. It was a day a mortley few chose to murder sleep. It was a day recorded in History for indigenes yet unborn to read about, and it was a day that gave birth to what you are seeing today through this FOUNDATION.

Like the most of history’s great women of substance, TESSY AWELE OKWUCHI, the symbolic personality whose dogged fearlessness gave birth to this INITIATIVE believes that whatever one must lay his/her hands to do, must be well articulated and executed to benefit HUMANITY. Check every woman of history, you’ll fine something unique that propels them to single out their specialty upon which their stream of energy and activities are poured. AWELE as she is clearly known and called is a lady of cross world history, a lady of destiny, steel and purpose with a clear vision and mission to touch lives within and without her community and she set out early navigating this route until GRACE singled her out as millions in her community pushed that she represents them at the Local Government governance because they KNOW and TRUST her.

Leveraging on this community TRUST, she dared the terrain erroneously reserved for a select few, and to the Glory of God, the evidence of the VICTORY that awaited her entrance into the contest so frightened the Local Government ruling political party that they chose not to have an election at all, but using the instrumentality of State, sat in one of their leader’s residence and did the UNTHINKABLE… As they say, the rest is history and certainly generations yet unborn will READ to KNOW what happened.

Undaunted by this DAYLIGHT ROBBERY, she decided to pursue her dream vision and sought support from well meaning indigenes of the community who all felt AGGRIEVED by the AUDACITY with which some indigenes collaborated with the State to steal this mandate and so the birth of this INITIATIVE became a REALITY to the benefit of MANKIND and GLORY OF ALMIGHTY GOD. It is this SINGULAR desire to create access to GOOD HEALTH CARE and EDUCATION FOR THE INDIGENT STUDENTS in her community, Delta State and Nigeria at large that is driving her spirit, leading to the birth of this INITIATIVE.
